April 7 is World Health Day.
The unparalleled value of good health is celebrated on this day.. Spearheaded by the World Health Organization (WHO), physical, mental, and emotional well-being is promoted and celebrated all over the world on this day. This day is all about creating awareness for the health issues of the needy and the less fortunate in poor regions around the world, as well as reminding us to be grateful for our health and to better take care of ourselves.
Mental health is often most neglected, owing to our
stressful lifestyles. So mediation and therapy are greatly encouraged. Of
course, you are what you eat, so the meals of the day and restaurant promotions
are all about maintaining a balanced diet. The Wellness Team urges you, on this
World Health Day, to reflect on your own health.

Welcome to 2022 at the AIDC
Welcome to
2022!
We trust
that you had a restful and happy holiday season.
Almost two
years have passed now and there is no sight of the Covid-19 pandemic coming to
an end. However, we have hope that we
can live with it and eventually conquer it.
There is evidence to show that the vaccines play a major role in allying
coronavirus symptoms, reducing the number of patients requiring hospitalisation
and death due to the illness.
With the
view of the Group Management directive that all senior managers must return to
the office fully while the rest of the staff continue to work on a 75% rotational basis; we encourage all eligible
staff members to get vaccinated. This is
for the good of us all.
We would
love to see your faces. We would love to
see that kind of interactions that can only be achieved by real human contact. In this way we will be able to further reach
our targets as per the Annual Performance Plan and in turn continue to
contribute to the Gauteng economy.
We have
reached the final quarter for the 2021/2022 Financial Year while having achieved
only 55% of our targets. There is still
an opportunity to achieve 100% of our targets.
All of us will have to make that final push to get to the finish
line. We have done it before, and we can
do it again.
As AIDC
management we value and appreciate the contribution and efforts by all staff
members to the success of the company.
The
Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) will continue to follow all
protocols to stop the spread of the coronavirus including, wearing of masks,
sanitising, and keeping a safe social distance.
We trust that
by taking these measures we will soon return to work and life as we know it.
Here’s to happy,
healthy, and productive year.
Warm
Regards
AIDC
Management
