Good day,
As you are
aware, South Africa was placed on Lockdown Level one (1) effective from Friday,
1 October 2021.
Subsequent to
this, the Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED) has issued an
advisory which addressed the return-to-work approach of the Department. The
adjusted working arrangements take into consideration the service delivery
obligations of the Department, the needs of service recipients and the safety
of staff.
In keeping with
this approach, the following resolutions have since been approved by GGDA Group
EXCO:
- Increase
in staff rotation from 30% to 75% with effect from Wednesday, 20
October 2021. Department managers will be responsible for their
respective units’ rotation schedule.
- Entity
CEO’s will continue to determine additional staff requirements based on
the entity’s operational requirements.
- Human
Resources managers at each entity shall continue to record and monitor the
rotation schedules at each entity.
- Covid
compliance officers at each entity shall continue to ensure that all
safety measures are in place and available for the additional staff,
reporting to the office for duty.
While Covid-19 regulations have eased,
please continue to observe all health protocols – wash or sanitize your hands
regularly, wear a mask at all times in public and maintain the appropriate
social distancing measures in place. Staff and their families are encouraged to
vaccinate against Covid-19.
Thank you,
